SOUND THERAPY
What is sound healing?
Sound is everywhere and is made of frequencies, which are vibrations and this makes up matter. Everything has its own vibration and resonance. Thoughts, emotions, and all physical matters including our bodies vibrate. Sound healing therapy is a method that utilizes frequency with an intention to create a change or shift in energy on an emotional, physical, mental, or spiritual level.
Sound has the unique ability to quickly affect the human energetic system by the principle of brainwave entrainment. The entrainment of our brainwave state provides a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to which leads to deeper states of relaxation, higher states of consciousness, and balance in our mind and body.
Some benefits of working with sound: quieting the mind, calming the nervous system, empowering positive change, lowering stress levels and anxiety, deep relaxation, enhancing self-awareness, pain management, chakra alignment, and promoting and facilitating the process of inner transformation.

Sound Bath (Sound Meditation, Sound Journey)
A sound bath is a form of sound healing therapy and can be offered in a group or private setting. Participants usually begin by lying down or getting in a supported posture on a comfortable surface often with cushioning and an eye mask. The experience often starts with meditation/breath work followed by different sounds and frequencies being introduced in succession. Sound is used intentionally to invite therapeutic and restorative effects and the experience is a practice of deep listening and connecting to our bodies, senses, and the present moment. The role of the sound practitioner is to create the setting and conditions to allow participants to go deep and heal themselves.
Sounds are created by a combination of vocal toning and a wide range of overtone emitting instruments which can include Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, drums, gong, tuning forks, shruti box, sansula, bells and chimes.

In a one-on-one sound session, I’m able to tune more specifically into your energy field and body for personalized attention and support. Each session is customized to your specific needs and intentions.

MINDFUL MOVEMENT
Linking mindful movement and breath, personalized sequences or asanas to invite more openness, space in your body and overall restoration.
Styles may include slow flow/gentle vinyasa, yin or restorative yoga and can also be paired with meditation and sound healing.
